Amiee and Jeff 6/6/2009
June 6th is not only my brother’s and my cousin’s birthday, it’s the day that Aimee and Jeff decided to get married! Jeff and the boys enjoyed a round of golf in the morning while Aimee, who loves golf too, opted to hit the salon with the girls. Eventually, we all met back at the hotel so they could get ready, and I could document it.
Before long, we were on our way to Sand Springs Golf Club. I rode the shuttle along with the bride and her girls. I could tell it was going to be a fun day by the energy on that shuttle bus. Just before the trip though I was in the lobby and lucky enough to see our Flower Girl for the day sitting in this cool chair.
Once we arrived Aimee and her mom had a special moment while they were sorting out all the flowers. I could see that they are very close, and I was glad I followed her into that room.
After a very nice outdoor ceremony with a perfect sky, we headed out on to the course for photos. It was fun since everyone had carts. We looked like a parade…I had my own driver! (pun intended.)
If there is one thing, I’ve learned in this business it’s …golf course + kids = cool shots.
Oh …I did get some of Aimee and Jeff too. They were very happy to be with each other for those few moments alone.
Jeff and his best man gave me a great pose on this one. Although they were enjoying the time on the course together, the happy couple also wanted to be with their guests. So we headed back.
The reception was a perfect fit for this couple. Formal, yet relaxed. It was on the Club’s grounds, under a very nice tent. The band “New York Times” provided the music and as always did a great job!
Aimee and Jeff were there to have fun…and so did I. It was a pleasure to be at their wedding!
