Amy and Mike 7/3/2009
Amy and Mike were married on the 3rd of July, and I was there to document it! It was a great way to start the 4th of July weekend.
I went to Amy’s parent’s home to get things rolling.
Amy was just about to put on her gown, and once she did we headed outside for some photos with the ladies. We had a lot of sun to start our day…but later we were given a bit of “wet sunshine”. It didn’t seem to matter to this confident couple. They were happy no matter what the skies did!
I was soon on my way to St. Rose Church in Carbondale. I got there a bit before Mike and the boys so I looked up and grabbed this shot.
Mike arrived and was whisked away to the back of the church. He was very calm and content.
Fr. Campbell provided a great service. He always does.
Amy surprised Mike by having a Piper play after the ceremony! It was a nice touch!
We then went to a great park area in Clarks Summit. Nice covered bridges and walkways were the setting for our images. This is where we rain into a tiny bit of rain. But it didn’t ruin the mood for our newlyweds!
We then went right to the Ramada Hotel for a nice reception. There were a few moments from the movie “Old School” that were included in the intros. That is one of my all time favorite movies so I thought it was pure genius to include the sound bites!
Thanks Amy and Mike for allowing me to be there, and also for being so easy going and calm about the whole day. It was clear that you were there to enjoy your time together, and I’m glad you did!
