Meghan and Eric 7/31/09

Meghan and Eric chose a great place for their wedding…..home.  Everything was at very familiar ground.  The ceremony was in the rose garden at Nay Aug Park, and the reception was at Meghan’s Mom’s home just across the street. It made for a very intimate setting.

Meghan was busy getting dressed and her mom was busy taking care of the last minute details when we arrived.  I say “we” because I teamed up with Molly who acted as a “second shooter”  for this wedding.

While Meghan was slipping into her gown, we headed over to the rose garden to meet up with Eric.  He was smiling the entire time. He was just so happy that his wedding day was here.  You really could see that he was excited.  To be honest…that smile never left his face all day.

Then back over to the house to document more of Meghan once she was in her gown. She and her mom shared a nice moment.  Meghan gave her mom a gift and card.  I could tell that what was written meant a lot to her mom.  It was a privilege to be in the room and see this exchange between and daughter and her mother.

We were all off to the ceremony.  Meghan was driven the short distance in a classic Cadillac.  It was a nice touch!  The sun was shining and the sky was blue.  This was incredible actually…you see about 45 minutes before the ceremony started it was raining!  Everyone thought the day was going to be happy with rain, but the sun came out and gave the most deserving bride her sunshine.  I know that there was a lot of effort to put this day together, so if anyone deserved the sun being out, it was these two!

After the very nice ceremony, everyone headed over to the front of the Museum for family photos.  Then Meghan and Eric took a little drive to the Tree House area of the park.  Molly and I were like Secret Service agents hanging on for dear life as we stood on the running boards of this great car!

After a little time alone …it was back to Mom’s house.  “Music For Models” provided great entertainment for the guests as they danced in the streets…literally.  It was a very nice way to celebrate…friends and family gathered at home in the nice summer evening air.

Thanks Meghan and Eric for letting me be part of your day!  All of your efforts paid off as I could easily see you were both so happy to be married!
