Melissa and Dave 8/22/2009
I had the pleasure of spending a nice summer day with Melissa and Dave as they exchanged vows and celebrated. I spent the day in the Wilkes-Barre area of NEPA.
I was once again teaming up with Molly who was working as a second shooter. She stayed as long as she could, and created some great images. We first went to the home of Melissa’s parents. Her dad greeted us at the door as Melissa was upstairs getting dressed. Not long after Melissa was ready and showing off her lovely, unique gown.
Later, at the church we met up with Dave, and talked to the priest, who happened to be a very up beat person. Dave and his best man were soon hiding in the back as Melissa arrived in the stretch Hummer.
A wonderful ceremony led by this happy, upbeat priest left everyone feeling very good.
We then drove to the Courthouse and River Commons area. The wedding party was full of energy and wanted to have fun …so we did just that.
Dave had a great idea as he saw a group of kids riding their BMX style bikes. He asked them if the guys in the wedding party could borrow their bikes for a quick ride to create some unique photos!
The Waterfront was the setting for the reception. The light was awesome during the cocktail hour so I asked our happy couple to let me take advantage of it.
Thanks Melissa and Dave…I had a great time at your wedding. Your friends were great and made the day fun! Thanks to Molly too for coming along for a while and getting some nice shots!
