Wedding #1 for 2009 is already in the books!  Shelley and Pete tied the knot on January 3rd.

I started the day at Shelley’s Mom’s home where all of the girls were getting ready.  It was clear to see that Shelley loves kids …she had many in her wedding party.   Christmas was still in the air and her mom even gave her an ornament of a wedding cake for her future Christmas trees.

The ceremony was at St Joseph’s in Scranton.  Fr. Edwards married this nice young couple.  He and I have known each other for years….I always enjoy being at a wedding that involves him. This is where I met up with Pete for the day.  He was anxious as most grooms are but very ready.

The ceremony was soon under way.

Shelley and Pete did not want thier attendants to spend anytime in the cold …so the 3 of us took a quick trip to Marywood University for some nice “alone time” photos.  We went in style!  They had a Mercedes Benz luxury van!!  Rather than have me follow them …I jumped in for the short ride.

Then we were off to the Holiday Inn in Dunmore.  They …as always …..did a great job hosting the event. A great band provided the music.  Pete knows members of the band and could not wait to hear them play.   I must say…they were good !!

Before the dancing started, we managed to do some more photos in the hotel’s atrium area.

Thank you Shelley and Pete for a nice day!  You got the new year off to a great  start!!!!
